Maria Tarasewicz

Maria Tarasewicz has already gained an enviable international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician. Maria studied first in the Ukraine with Alexandra Smetankina and Iya Pavlova, and then in Poland with Natalia Radecka, Natalia Rewakowicz (piano) and Maja Sterczynska (chamber music). In 2008 she moved to Brussels where she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under Piet Kuijken, Eugene Moguilevsky and Olga Rumchevych. Currently Maria is working with Boyan Vodenicharov.

Maria Tarasewicz in great demand as a chamber musician and accompanist and has appeared in many international musical festivals including Musica Mundi in Belgium, and the Stavanger Youth Chamber Festival in Norway.

As well as her commitment to working with young talents Maria has collaborated with many great musicians of this generation including Ivry Gitlis, Maxim Vengerov, Leonid Kerbel, Gavriel Lipkind, Dora Schwarzberg, Truls Mørk, Vladimir Perlin, Itamar Golan, Paul Gulda, Paul Badura-Skoda, Hagit Hassid-Kerbel and Hogon Austbo. In 2011 Maria was invited to perform at the gala concert marking 90th birthday of violin maestro Ivry Gitlis at the Brussels Palais des Beaux Arts.

Maria is a laureate of many chamber music competitions as well as appearing as a soloist across Europe.
